Tag Editor Free is for the Mac platform. Tag Editor Free is a easy to use spreadsheet for batch tagging and renaming of audio files. Complete tag information helps organize your musical collection. The process is simple. You need to load the tag information from files and folder names. You can then edit, copy, paste, find and replace information suitably. You can then clean up tags of useless characters, spaces and wrong encoding. The program allows renaming of multiple tracks simultaneously. The utility is simple to use and all these batch actions can be done in one window. Keyboard short-cuts are available. All the changes you make are under your direct control. The editor can handle ID3 tags for MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and MP4 tags for MP4 and M4A (Apple lossless) files.
Tags that you can edit include Album, Album Artist, Artist, Artwork, etc. Tag information related to Audio Codec, Audio Format, Bit Rate (kbps), BMP (Tempo), Channels, etc. also can be tackled. Detailed technical information such as Duration, Extension, File Name, Folder, Path, Sample Rate (Hz), Size, Tag Format and others can be displayed. Users can use this information to create tags. In the automatic batch mode this application is able to tags from filenames and paths. It is possible to rename the files and load artworks from local folders.
